Privacy Policy

This Week does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any data. There is no server, no account, and no analytics. Nothing you write in it ever leaves your browser.

What the extension stores

The extension saves only what you type into it, plus your own display settings:

• Your weekly entries — the one line you write each week, the optional “setting aside” line, and whether you marked the week as happened, partly happened, or didn’t.
• Your settings — whether discreet mode is on, and, if you chose to open the optional weeks grid, the date of birth you entered for it.

Where it is stored

In chrome.storage.sync, which is Chrome’s own built-in storage. This keeps your entries inside your Chrome profile and, if you have Chrome Sync switched on, lets Chrome carry them between computers you are signed into. That synchronisation is performed by Google Chrome under Google’s privacy policy. The developer of this extension has no access to it, and no ability to read your entries.

What is never done

• No network requests of any kind — no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, no remotely loaded fonts, scripts, or images.
• No tracking, no cookies, no advertising identifiers, no fingerprinting.
• No reading of your browsing history, page content, or the sites you visit. The extension has no permission to do so.
• No sale or transfer of user data to anyone, for any purpose.

Permissions

The extension requests one permission, storage, used solely to save your own entries and settings so they can be shown back to you. It also replaces the new tab page, which is its entire purpose and is visible to you the moment you install it.

Limited Use disclosure

This extension’s use of information received from Google APIs and from users adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data is used only to provide the extension’s single, user-facing purpose. It is never transferred to third parties, never used for advertising of any kind, and never read by any human — no such access is technically possible, as the data never reaches the developer.

Deleting your data

Open a new tab, go to settings, and choose erase everything. That removes all stored entries and settings immediately. Uninstalling the extension from chrome://extensions also removes its storage.

Children

The extension is not directed at children and collects nothing from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If the extension’s data handling ever changes, this page will be updated before the change ships, and the change will be disclosed in the extension’s Chrome Web Store listing and to existing users.
